I started this series because I was unable to practice my other meditative and stress relieving activity of gardening. I typically would be able to spend a few hours in my backyard exerting my extra energy on the invasive weeds that have made their way into my plots. Each print represents a different invasive plant species that you may encounter in Colorado and is an experimentation of loss of control. By sewing my prints, in the end, I can pull them all together, a lot like eradicating weeds and letting the beautiful local and necessary vegetation flourish.
